Bottle from Sondra. Color is sort of copper amber - but it changes with light and aspect. The white head didn’t last long. Bready aroma backed by a hint of bitter. Flavor is more than a hint of bitter. It’s roasted malt with citrus and grassy hop. Very tasty. Balanced, maybe even "perfectly" so. Finish is neither sweet nor dry, and there is a citrus nuance. Nice APA. No pretensions to grandeur, but it tastes good.

Living in Austin, the one strong hold of left-wing hippes in Texas, I’ve come to appreciate that the term ’organic’ usually means ’crappy’. There’s this one place called Central Market (which actually has a good beer selection) that carries very few items that aren’t special in some way. You won’t find Dial soap, 12-packs of Coke, or contact lens solution, because they don’t have hippie versions of them. One time I was there with my chick and we needed some toilet paper. Not wanting to make a second stop, I decided to see what CM had to offer. The only toilet paper was this organic hippie 100% recyled blah blah blah stuff that was like double the cost of regular TP. I bought some and it was the roughest thing that my backside has ever been exposed to. So I didn’t have high expectations of Wolavers Organic Pale Ale. Turned out pretty average, maybe a little too much maltiness. Poured into the glass kind of flat too. Mild hoppy finish, moderately refreshing.

Orangeish-brown color, decent head. Malt profile is a bit sharp, citrus and some hops in the finish. A decent, drinkable APA.

Light copper color, small head. Lightly hopped, medium malts. Organic barley and hops. A mild tasting ale. Good full mouthfeel. Smooth good taste. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is slightly malty, very little bitterness.

This beer was very refreshing. The organic component lended a nice crisp and clean taste with good hops balance backing it. Left a subtle finish, good.

real thin head, but lots of carbonation. Toasty malts & clean hoppiness remind me of a Leinenkugel’s Original, but onlt because of it’s strange place in my heart and my family.

Bottle - another one thanks to slob! Pours clear medium amber with a large off-white head that leaves nice lacing as it diminishes. Aroma is sweet ’dusty’ malts, hint of lemon, earthy floral hops. Flavor is sweet initially, a bit of honey then lots of floral and citrus hoppiness and an astringent earthy finish. Light to medium body and easy carbonation. Not bad, but has a particular dusty-metallic taste that I’ve come to associate with organic brews. Hmmm...
