20081003 12oz bottle, Spirits RB. Dark amber color with small, quickly fading off-white head. Aroma shows undertones of pumpkin with a mild raw squashiness, a good deal of spice but not overwhelming with mostly notes of cinnamon and clove. The flavor is lightly tart, lightly sweet across a medium bodied middle, and finishing with an almost hot spice, more cinnamon, pie spice, and lots of clove. Somewhat aggressive eff, especially at the finish, but goes well with the flavor. In fact, reminds a bit of a sharp wit, only with squash instead of wheat and pumpkin pie spice instead of corriander. Dries out nicely. As pumpkin beers go, this one is very pleasing.

Bottle. Pours a deep orange, with a white head. Aroma is spices, pumpkin, and caramel. Flavor is much the same, but also with a slight tangy/sour taste. Medium body.

FROTHINGSLOSH (5095) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 2, 2008
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured an orange-caramel color with a large orange-tan head. The aroma was sweet, spicy and had notes of orange, nutmeg and cinnamon. Wonderful nose! The flavor was sweet spicy cinnamon and nutmeg with a hint of orange and a long tangy and spicy and dry finish. Full bodied. Very nice.

Bottle... Poured a hazy orange with an off-white head that lasted quite awhile. Lots of spices and warm pumpkin on the nose. Foamy and full palate, pretty hoppy with smooth, balancing malt and a backbone of pumpkin flavors. Good pumpkin ale.

Pours a hazy orange-amber color with a light dirty beige head. Smell is slight pumpkin and some subtle nutmeg, and tangy lemony malt. Taste is tangy and malty with very light dull meaty pumpkin flavor and subtle spices. Fairly lemony and bright as well, and it makes it a unique pumpkin beer. Medium bodied and normal carbonation. Spice flavor is not overdone and the lemony element is interesting. Perhaps worth another try.

Pumpkin spice, nutmeg, and cinnamon bread aroma. Clear orange color with some white foam. Spicy from the beginning. Mainly nutmeg fading slowly in the finish. Cinnamon develops in the end. High amount of carbonation and very drinkable. The six pack however was rubbish leaving me with only a five pack.

looks good- at first, I found the overtly spicy brew somewhat pleasing, but was not sure why. Then a friend mentioned that the beer tastes exactly like worchester sauce (which I like). He was right. Then the reality set it- this was not a good beer. A sad drain pour followed. Thanks Tricia.

Trade from BMan113VR - Thanks! pours cloudy brownish orange, with a thin ring of foam. Smells like ginger, pumpkin, and nutmeg, maybe some clove, too. Flavor is similiar, with a vegetal pumpkin not up front, and cinnamon, ginger and other spices in the background. As it warms, an odd metallc note emerges.

Bottle. Pours a burnt amber in color with a pure white, medium head. It has a bitter spicey aroma, with no pumpkin whatsoever. The flavor is much the same. This beer tastes more like a spiced pale ale then a pumpkin ale. There are much better products out there in this style.
