COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This pumpkin ale is brewed with organic pumpkins grown by Will and Judy Stevens, of Golden Russet Farm in Shoreham, VT, less than 15 miles away from our brewery. They have been growing organic vegetables and flowers for more than 25 years. Using local, organic ingredients whenever possible and supporting local farmers is just one of the many ways that we strive to minimize our impact on the environment. The subtle flavor of pumpkin and mild notes of spice enhance this golden amber ale, making it a perfect choice for the season. Wolaver’s offers a variety of styles to suit every taste, craft brewed in small batches at our "green" family owned brewery in Vermont. Our products contain to preservatives, are not pasteurized and, like all fresh foods, will change over time We print the date we bottled on for your information

Very bright orange. Very spicy, pumpkiny nose - big, brash and appetizing. On the palate it falls apart a bit, though. The body is thin. There’s huge nutmeg and other spicy but not nearly the malt character to hold it all together.

(Bottle, courtesy of BMan1113VR) Pours a clear copper body with a small off-white head. Aroma of pumpkin, nutmeg, turmeric, and coriander. Flavor of pumpkin, hops (grassy, floral), coriander, and nutmeg with a bitter finish. I would like to try this along with some spicy Indian food.

12oz bottle-pours a rich light tan head and amber/orange color. Aroma is nutmeg, spice, medium malt, some fishy?/overripe pumpkin. Tate is nutmeg, over spiced medium malt, overripe pumpkin, citrus-lemon rind bitter, plastic, vinegar/sour. Drain pour. Thanks jwc215 for picking this out.

Bottle from the Coop in Davis, CA. Bottled 9/21/08. Beautiful copper color with a multi-finger frothy beige head. Aroma of pumpkin pie heavy on nutmeg. A bit thinnish with sharpish carbonation. Flavor is pumpkin pie with some herb or veg. It’s not a month old, and at least one week was refrigerated, but I think I detect a slight sour note. More of a flavored ale than a spice ale - whatever I meant by that. Finish is rather astringent. Think I like my pumpkin thicker and spicier. Maybe it would have gone better with food.

Bottle shared by Oakes and Beershine. Orangish pour. Aroma is spicy, full of pure pumpkin notes and pumpkin pie spices. Flavor is full of some great pumpkin notes and spices. But as with most Wolavers, it is very thin on the mouth.

Bottle… Clear amber ale with a small, flimsy, white head. Decent retention. Sweet, spicy aroma – nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, ginger and caramel. Full-bodied with a buttery mouthfeel and lively carbonation. The medium bitter, moderately sweet, spicy flavor features nutmeg, brown sugar and a heaping helping of hops. Spicy, bitter finish.

12 oz bottle. Clear orange-amber beer with a light white head. Aroma is quite fragrant with allspice and ginger over a light biscuity munich malt base. Flavour is sweet with a light biscuity munich malt base. Flavour is sweet with a nice balance of sweet spiciness and a soft sweet maltiness. Lingering bready flavour on the back. Easy to drink, well balanced and quite tasty.
