2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. The pour was a medium hazy copper with a large (2-3 Finger) white rocky head that had great retention and some really good lacing that was left hanging on the glass throughout.
The aroma was of a light toasted malt and a mildly sweet doughy yeast with notes of nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon and of course pumpkin.
The taste was some what sweet and malty with notes of cinnamon and nutmeg from the beginning and had a mild bitterness with a hint of pumpkin and a little bite from the allspice at the end. The flavor lingered for a nice long while allowing for the taste of the spices to settle nicely on the taste buds.
Mouthfeel was light on body and watery in texture and had a kind of medicine feel to it with a medium carbonation.
Overall a mild tasting Pumpkin Ale with a slight bitter bite of spices that was left lingering well after the swallow. It was a decent brew which fits with the style rather nicely.

Poured into a snifter.
3.0 A: Murky amber brown color. One finger of frothy off-white head. Retention is below average and a few wisps of lacing are left.
3.75 S: Good balance of pumpkin and spices. Nutmeg and allspice are most prominent with cinnamon pulling up the rear. Toasty malts with a caramel backbone. Fairly simple by pumpkin beer standards, but has everything you want.
3.75 T: Like the nose, this isn’t very intense, but it tastes good and has great balance. Good pumpkin flavor, spices per above. Caramel and toastiness.
3.75 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Pleasantly creamy and super smooth.
4.0 D: This doesn’t get a lot of love, but I really like it.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. This murky red amber ale has a very small white head. The aroma is almist non existent and the flavor has almost zero pumpkin flavor. Not a good pumpkin ale.

I had it on tap. It pours a copper color with some head. The aroma is slightly pumpkin with some spices. The taste is a subtle pumpkin with the same spice balance. I like that the pumpkin is subtle. The palate is a bit thin and overly carbonated for the style. This was a pretty good pumpkin beer.

Bottle. Pours bright amber with small foamy off-white head, pumpkin aroma, medium carbonation, sweetish caramel taste with pumpkin flavor, medium bitter finish. Nice for a pumpkin beer.

12 oz bottle poured into pint glass. Dark golden color beer with thin white head. Aroma of doughy yeast along with some mild pumpkin and cloves among other spices. Taste is very lightly sweet and extremely lightly bitter. Light to medium bodied beer with a fairly thin texture. Average carbonation and nice finish which lingers slightly. Mild pumpkin flavor complemented by light spices especially clove. I enjoy and look forward to many pumpkin ales. This is one of my favorites due to its simplicity and subtle balance. Pumpkin flavor is surely present and not overwhelmed by an influx of spices and sweetness. Simply a pure, solid pumpkin ale. I generally enjoy more spices than none, but this beer is well balanced.
