COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Seasonal - April to October. Also available bottled.
The ultimate catch, a refreshing golden pale ale with a fruity bitterness & lingering aftertaste. Certainly a beer to help create those one that got away stories!
Brewed with Wold grown malts and hopped with the fruity Cascade and Goldings hops.

Medium white head. Deep golden body with carbonation. Strawy citric floral aroma with perfumy earthy notes. Dry-sweet floral lemon zest taste with strawy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish floral lemon zest aftertaste with earthy dandelion notes. Nice, drinkable, maybe a slight bit perfumy. (0.5l bottle, Meny Strømmen Storsenter.)

Foffern (728) - Bergen, NORWAY - APR 9, 2013
Bottle shared with ClubGonzo and Veitafan. Has a golden yellow colour with a small off-white head. Have a fruity aroma that is a little cautious, but I find citrus, hay and some light malt. The taste is also somewhat weak where I sence some light malt, hops and corn. Mouth feel is aqueous and smooth, with a slight bitterness. Unfortunately, this was not as good as a golden ale can be and is boring and plain with a light aroma and taste.

Bottle from Meny Manglerud enjoyed at home
Golden, white head. Smells of biscuit, malts, grain and faint hops. Light sweet, spicy, quite dry, clean. Medium bitter, green leaves and grass. The mouthfeel in this one is bone dry - and sadly this kind of beer should be not in my book. Don’t take this one out in the nice summer weather - you will beg for some water on the side

Palme (2234) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 22, 2013
0.5l bottle. This is a clear pale golden one with a big-bubbled small just off-white top. Smells quite sweet and almost fruity this. A good amount of sweet grains, some traces of melon zest and not much more really. Not directly mellow, but not extreme. It’s average on the carbonation with big-bubbled bubbles - like the one you find in mineral water, and a soft light watery mouthfeel. Soft metallic-bitter with a decent amount of sweet mild fruitiness. Some pine cones and citrus near the finish. A good example of it’s genre. To bad the genre is extremely dull and generic. 15.02.2013

ClubGonzo (2692) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 19, 2013
Bottle from Lerøy Mat, Bergen, shared with Foffern and Veitafan. Pours a deep orange-golden body with a small white head. Nose is pale malts, floral tones with subtle fruits and hints of ginger peel. Taste is pale malts, floral and grassy hops with hints of almonds. Soft carbonation, medium to thin mouthfeel. Not very impressive, even for the relatively low-key genre.

50cl bottle from Meny Ringnes park. Pours clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of malt, fruits with some hoppy notes and hints of caramel and citrus. Medium sweet and malty with a slightly citrusy and bitter finish. Refreshing and sessionable ale, but nothing special.

DruncanVeasey (6105) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Premier, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - FEB 21, 2013
Bottle from...you’ve guessed it. Clean gold without inclusions; narrow fine foam. Enticing, perfumed aroma of lemon jellies, The Wife’s anti-panic herbal pastilles; Turkish Delight spread on a digestive biscuit. Flavour builds on that promise with more of the same; lush digestive malt topped with floral-infused, gelatinous confectionery. Digging Wold Top’s whole presentation with these bottles. Fine brew- pity I’m committed to relinquishing my other bottle to Keith. A reward indeed.
