Bottled 0,50L. Blond dark color, discreet bubbly presence, limpid aspect with an elegant foamy and resistant head. Light hoppy aroma, notes of soft caramel, light toasted malty, grains and good alcoholic nose. Fresh and little hoppy mouth, good and equilibrate prickly taste with a long bitter and good malty final.

Half pint at the Great British Beer Festival 2013. Lightly hazy golden yellow, with a bubbly head that doesn’t hang around. Perfumey citrus hop aroma. Light, fruity hops, quite dry. Decent for its style but not memorable.

From cask. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild peachy and citrusy. Bitter, toasted malty and light fruity. Ends bitter and light citrusy into a mild malty finish.

Cask conditioned at The Chequers, Oxford. Gold with white head. Good, crisp biscuity malts at the start followed by a dry hoppy, slightly perfumed but fruity hop flavour. Some lemon, some orange notes, nicely fresh. Pretty decent.

Deep golden color. Fruity marmalade nose. Very hoppy nose. The mouth has moderately aggressive bitterness with tons of lemon zest and marmalade. Sharp bitter finish. Refreshing. Excellent

Bottle from beersofeurope.co.uk. Honey coloured ale with a decent head. Aroma is sweet, yeasty, fruity, rich and delicious. This has a citrus tang with lasting bitterness. Thick feel. Very nice ale.

500ml bottle, BBE 08/12, label stamped G1167/8 1137 at tasting on 20 January 2013. Not sure where this one came from. Clean gold. Quite crisp. Tasty, fresh character throughout with some zingy citrus. Good and dry. More depth to the flavour than the aroma. Not a huge amount to talk about but it does its job rather well, especially considering it was some months past its best before date.

It could be you know. ABL on the verge of great things. Splinter gig today kicked ass in a gentle folky kind of way. We jumped, they gave a standing ovation.

Bottle at home. Has a clear golden a bit dark straw-colour with a small off-white head. The aroma is sweet and a little faint with some fruits, hay, candy and citrus. Faint is also the flavour with more pale malt, hay and some hops. Has a slick and thin mouth feel, and a light bitterness. Easy-drinking and a bit boring.
