COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Strong and well hopped for the voyage sending IPA from the Wolds to the World. Interestingly brewed with a pale Wold grown malt base, a triple hop blend and Maize for the head retention. Such triple hopped beers need hot full flavoured foods to accompany them!

Final amer et long. Biere sans gluten

Beese (1625) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 30, 2014
Bottle ordered from the brewery. Poured a clear, light golden, with a thin white head. Aroma was fairly light, some sweeter grains coming through, mixed with perfumed hops. Flavours of citrus hops, spruce and some corn. Finish was sweet grains, resin and biscuit. One of the best gluten free beers out there (probably the best brewed in the UK, that I’ve tried).

500 ml bottle at home, poured into a big Guinness glass. ABV 6% Deep golden yellow colour on the body, with a snow white head on top, one finger in size, thick, with great retention, leaving medium lacing around the glass. Aroma has a bit of barnyard, some funk but also seems nicely hopped, with light citrus, grapefruit and herbs. Very nice taste, hoppy enough, fruity but subtle, with citrus, pine, strong bitterness going all the way to the aftertaste and hanging there for a long time. Alcohol notes too but barely notable, on the finish. Medium body, good soft carbonation. Oily palate. Big surprise this one, as I got it along with a bunch of other beers from the same place and most of them were mediocre, but this one is very good.

Bottle conditioned. Crystal clear, fizzy orange-gold body. Tight medium white head with good retention. Nose is dough, hops, lots of tropical fruit character, tangerines. Bitter. Then tangy, then sweet. Bitter finish. Excellent.

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2014 Pours pale, bright golden amber, with a brief, small white head. Mild hay and lemon gras aroma. Much more flavour on the palate: classic English IPA. Balanced hops and malt, with more grassiness and a bitter finish.
