3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled, 500ml from Sainsbury’s in Banbury. Gold with white head. Quite a dry, floral bitter, there is a decent malty body, some husk, grainy, carrying a flowery hop note. Reasonable depth and palate. Decent enough.

3.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml bottle. Pours deep golden with thin head. Malty and fruity aroma. Apricot and grapefruit, a good amount of malt but not too heavy, plenty of hops and a long, sharp, bitter finish. Definitely one I wouldn’t mind drinking again.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500ml bottle pours a golden orange color with a finger of white head that settles to leave some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is light fruits with some grassy notes. Taste is a light malty sweetness with some fruits and a grassy hop bitterness. Medium bodied with some mild carbonation. Decent brew which is easy to drink but nothing really special.

Bottle from Sainsburys. Deep gold with a slight white head and plenty of carbonation. Aroma of tangerine and apricot fruit with a touch of grassy hop. Flavour had some sweet, cereal malts, more fruits and a dryish finish. Fine.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle which poured a yellow gold ale with fairly lasting slim light head. The aroma is sweet and floral. The taste for me is dominated by bitterness and sweetness.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle in Spainsbury’s beer-off. Shining gold without inclusions under a skim of white froth. Aroma initially canned corn and phosphorous warming into more promising English woodland and mandarin. Taste: good tangy satsuma hop rounded with lingering malt suggesting cashew. More of that slightly dank English woodland taste I can’t quite capture: Coombe Abbey? Creamy mouthfeel, dabs of heat, peach, well-poised bittersweetness, almond. Slightly saline. Not bad.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Has a strong, hoppy aroma and the taste is hoppy with a sweet edge but finishes with a crisp, bitter aftertaste. Very drinkable.
