Strong and well hopped for the voyage sending IPA from the Wolds to the World. Interestingly brewed with a pale Wold grown malt base, a triple hop blend and Maize for the head retention. Such triple hopped beers need hot full flavoured foods to accompany them!

Bottle in Spainsbury’s beer-off. Shining gold without inclusions under a skim of white froth. Aroma initially canned corn and phosphorous warming into more promising English woodland and mandarin. Taste: good tangy satsuma hop rounded with lingering malt suggesting cashew. More of that slightly dank English woodland taste I can’t quite capture: Coombe Abbey? Creamy mouthfeel, dabs of heat, peach, well-poised bittersweetness, almond. Slightly saline. Not bad.

Bottle into IPA glass. Pours a slightly hazy golden colour. Aroma is a little citrusy and a bit of sweet corn. Taste is mellow bitterness with some nice citrus notes. -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10

Rating #1071 - May 2, 2014 - @Beerblast event in the Hangar! - 6%. Clear golden pour with a weak, white head that bubbles away to a ring. Aroma is strong with hoppy overtones, not citrusy, but piney, and earthy. Taste is more of the same, dry hops (resinous, piney stickyness) and toasted bread dough malts dominating the flavour, with a hint of sweetness. Definitely a british style IPA, but the finish isnt overly dry, but balanced and satisfying. Delicious - and decidedly better than most of the gluten free offerings out there.

500ml bottle from Sainsbury’s. Pale golden colour with white head. Hoppy aroma, with a citrusy fruit taste, very drinkable, considering the high alcohol.

500ml bottle from a farm shop near Scarborough. Surprisingly fruity blond with a touch of pine and a sprightly bitter linger. Very nice.

Lagerboy (1372) - British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 21, 2014
500 ml bottle. Mostly clear orange yellow, off-white foam vanishes. Aroma is slightly noble, bready, fruity. Not too fruity dull corny pale malt taste, light noble hops, some citrus. Soft-flat carbonation, lighter bodied. Not the blandest British blonde, drinkable. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)
