COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Seasonal - Winter
A rich dark Ale, ideal for keeping the chill of Winter at bay. The roasted barley and pale chocolate malt give a deep red hue, the hop combination of Progress, Styrian Goldings and Cascade give bitterness with a soft spicy yet fruity edge, resulting in a winter beer that is well balanced, with an underlying maltiness, and a subtle fruit aroma, excellent with Yorkshire Parkin, Christmas Pudding, Rich Fruit Cake and Mince Pies.

Ottima come dark Ale invernale! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from the Old Shambles Tavern. Appearance - near as dammit opaque black with an attractive slightly off white head. Nose - treacle, rich bready notes. Taste - molasses, tea-loaf, raisins, prunes. Palate - at least medium bodied with a big rich middle section and a rich but drying enough finish. Overall - this is good. Best from these guys.

Relatively medium bitterness and low carbonation. Sweet, watery aftertaste. Both aroma nad taste nice and sweet but no so complex

Ciemno brązowe z rubinowym refleksem. Piana szybko opadająca do obwódki, ale oblepiająca szkło. Zapach słodko - palony, trochę czekoladowy i miodowy. W odczuciu gęste i ciężkie, trochę męczące.

Bottle conditioned, 500m; from Clarkes of Whitby, Whitby, N.Yorks. Virtually black with cream head. Initially on opening with the aroma and the first taste I thought that this was infected, there was a tart, sour, fruity character but after leaving for a while this had dissipated. There was a smoky dark roasted malt note with a fruity, slightly wine like body, Christmas cake, figgy elements. In the end quite drinkable.

Zapach przyjemny - trochę palony, trochę owocowy, ciut alkoholowy. Smak do przyjęcia, słodowy z goryczką niską (do średniej). W posmaku lekki popiół.

Bottle from Booths, Media City. Darker clear copper-red with a thin head. There’s grain, malt and a hint of chocolate in its nose. It’s not as stated in its taste but there’s a good sweetness running throughout its character.
