3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Ottima come dark Ale invernale! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at a ChrisO Tasting - London. Pours clear auburn with a light, bubbly head. Modest caramel and pine aroma. Pretty bland flavor, light sweetness, some leaves, light toast, faint caramel. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Fairly dry to finish with more leafy bitterness and light toast. Nothing special, really.

1st January 2012
Clear deep red - amber beer. Tidy cream coloured head. Crispy dry palate. Dry malt with a little dark toffee. Typical astringent English bitter hop, next to no hop fruit. Dry finish with a trace of bubblegum ester. Too dry and harsh.

Bitter chocolate, roast coffee beans and a little vanilla in the nose, initial fruity dryness in the mouth becomes more chocolate sweet then coffee bitter with time, finish is dry and fruity and a little unbalanced.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nonostante l’aroma non proprio esplosivo, una ale scura ricca e gustosa, probabilmente il loro prodotto più convincente fra quelli passati per il mio gargarozzo mentre ripassavo Isocrate

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Fruit, nut, roast and caramel smell with some alcohol. Brownish orange with a red tint and a sticky lasting tan frothy head. Taste of roast, wood, and chestnut. Dry medium earthy thin body. Sweet on the lips and bitter on the swallow. Some enjoyment from the winter spices. Feels a little bit like a cake. Its above average but not incredible.
