Cask at GBBF ’14, day 5, 16/08/14. Clear golden with a decent off white covering. Nose carries citric vibes, grass, light bread dough. Taste comprises light peach, floral notes, straw, hint of caramel, citric peel. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close with light bitter notes. Ok GB.

Bottle from Root’s farm shop. Golden with no head to speak of. Bitter with some citrus. A touch of sweetness in there. OK, but a bit lagery.

Douberd (2228) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - MAY 7, 2014
Bottle 500 ml at home, poured into a tulip glass. ABV 4.8% Pours a bright golden orange beer, crystal clear body, with a small white head on top. Average retention and light lacing on the glass. Aroma of spices, a bit offensive at first but mellows after the beer breathes a bit in the glass. Malts, some wine-y notes too. Taste is malty, mildly sweet, with a few hops notes, again some wine and grape notes. Mildly bitter on the aftertaste with good duration. Medium thin body, okay carbonation. Overall not bad at all.

Cask at British Oak, Wakefield. Golden yellow colour, foam white head leaving some lacing and fruity, sourish aroma. Sweetish malt and watery caramel taste with some citrusy hop bitterness and biscuity notes. Light bodied, medium carbonation, dry finish. Quite OK.
