Cask @ The Pembury. Golden with a thin white head. Nose of sweet malts, fruity yeast esters and a little hop in the background. Taste is much the same, sweet malts, yeasty esters, wheat and a dry slightly bitter citrus hop finish. Not bad but was way too sweet for me.

Bottle. Golden and clear with a slightly sharp edge. Low carbonation and a hoppy presence. Well bottled and a good example of this easy to drink style.

Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity, spicy, citrus, light yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [130908]

(Cask) Slightly hazy golden with no head. Fresh and a little citrusy aroma. Light-bodied, a little malt and fruit. No bitterness. An easy and downplayed drink. 130908

Sampled @ European Beer Festival, Valby. Rather uninspiring standard English ale. Not bad as such, just a bit bland.

Cask at EBF08. Hazy golden. Sourish citrus in both aroma and favour; grapefruit and lemons. Medium bitterness.

EBF2008. It’s a warm yellow-golden beer and the aroma has notes of a slightly sourish citrus and malt. The flavour has a light citrus sourness and a light sweetness and notes of fruit and caramel.
