{thoughts} Strikingly similar to Duvel, except for a citrus rind addition.

{elements} Hazy, peach hue; very tall, white foam. Duvel-like pilsner malt and banana aroma with an addition of citrus. Moderate sweetness, moderate acidity, light-moderate bitterness; acidity and carbonation play down the sweetness, making it seem fairly dry. Medium bodied, lively carbonation, creamy texture.

Light amber with medium off-white creamy head. Quite sweet, this sweetness is well balanced with some sourness and bitterness. Taste is mild.

Old rating from a couple of years ago, found in old scoresheets from a tasting session with Benzai at Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Not a lot of notes taken. Golden colour, lightly spicy, yeasty, fruits and some bitter. Nice beer.

Bottle. Pours a hazy gold; head is super thick, fluffy. Nose is grassy hops, slightly earthy. Taste is slighly bitter - palate is a bit more complex than expected for a blond. Heavier than expected, and bitter lingers on the finish. Well carbonated. A nice blond

Mooie oranjegele kleur. Aardig schuim. Typische blond geur. Fruitig, zoetig en iets hop. Smaakt fris, fruitig, licht zoet en iets bitter.

At the Belgian Beer Weekend in Osaka. 7.5% gold color, thick fluffy head. A Belgian Strong Ale with an aroma of fruit over a grassy malt base. The flavor is kind of odd, mild spice, grain, fruits. Very nice but wholly unexpected, I suspect they use some unusual grains in the mash. I like it, it kind of reminds me of coup de grisou. Possibly they use buckwheat...? It had a kind of spicy peppery note I enjoyed.

11.2 oz. bottle served in a shaker- poured a 15 % hazy dulled yellow orange color, formed a bubbly white head that did not lace. Aroma of straw, yeast, and light wheat. Hits the mouth with light medium body, malt is extremely light even for the style, various spices in the middle, finish is drying and a very light hint of vanilla. It’s not that bad...
