{thoughts} Aroma dominated by cinnamon, flavor by lactic sourness.

{elements} Clear, amber-brown hue; tall, off-white cream. Strong cinnamon aroma, almonds, oatmeal and a lactic undercurrent. Moderately sweet, moderate-heavy acidity, light bitterness; cola like sweet & sour combination with a dash of cherries; lingering sour aftertaste. Medium body; heavy carbonation, watery texture.

Bottle.Pours cloudy copper brown with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of fruit and flowers, with notes of hops and yeast. Booze in the long nose. Sweet flavour of fruit, with some vinous notes and bitter, hoppy touches. Warming alcohol presence. Sour-sweetish aftertaste. Not bad.

Hazy brown. Huge, frothy, offwhite head. Arima has malt and sweet caramel. Flavour is yeasty, spicy with dried fruit, brown sugar.

Een bier met niet zoveel smaak aan. Dan is de Wolf 7 voor mij een lekkerder bier.

Sampled from bottle presumably @ Benzai’s place quite some time ago. Dark brown colour...Smell and taste malts, caramel, sweetish... Typical Belgian beer.

Deep red color with an off white head. Aroma of cherry, brown sugar (not heroine). Heavy taste, sweet, tastes like coke, a little south freshness. Lots of carbonation. Ok beer, I guess.

Wolf was one of the first Belgian craft beers I tried after moving here. Had this out at some restaurants but now bringing it home for the review. The 8 is a lovely dark brown with a great moguled, shaving-cream head. Maybe a bit over-carbonated, but it also helps it stay brisk at 8.2%. Nice branding to match - consistent, and a good series effect with the 7, 8, and 9.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown/black; head is (as usual for a Wolf, apparently) massive and then quickly gone. Nose is really subdued; don’t really smell too much at all compared to 7 and 9, a bit sweet and some alcoholt. Medium body, well carbonated; texture is lively for sure and finish is medium. Bit bitter, bit sweet, my least favorite of the 3 Wolfs that i’ve had.
