{thoughts} Aroma dominated by cinnamon, flavor by lactic sourness.

{elements} Clear, amber-brown hue; tall, off-white cream. Strong cinnamon aroma, almonds, oatmeal and a lactic undercurrent. Moderately sweet, moderate-heavy acidity, light bitterness; cola like sweet & sour combination with a dash of cherries; lingering sour aftertaste. Medium body; heavy carbonation, watery texture.

Bottle. Strong sweet aroma when opening, cinnamon. Pours a typical Double with dense, lasting head. Funky sweet aroma when poured: basement funk, rotting fruit (plum, strawberry), sun dried tomato, cocoa. Taste is interesting: starts like a Bock with notes of rye and grass, slowly develops a boozy high, and settles down to a slightly sour and salty dark chocolate taste and bitterness, which also dominates the aftertaste. Very interesting development.

Niet helemaal mijn ding, een beetje een droge nasmaak en minder zoet dan de wolf 9....

Bottle of 33cl, in a Trappist glass; from the fridge. Beer with a deep brown/dark colour, with a creamy head. Coffee and spice aroma. Great coffee chocolate taste, with strong palate. Go try it. Not unforgettable

Een bier met niet zoveel smaak aan. Dan is de Wolf 7 voor mij een lekkerder bier.

Wolf was one of the first Belgian craft beers I tried after moving here. Had this out at some restaurants but now bringing it home for the review. The 8 is a lovely dark brown with a great moguled, shaving-cream head. Maybe a bit over-carbonated, but it also helps it stay brisk at 8.2%. Nice branding to match - consistent, and a good series effect with the 7, 8, and 9.

330 ml bottle - pours deep brown amber with persisting light beige head. Aroma of lightly roasted malt, caramel, honey, apple. Medium body with light palate, nice sweetness, combined with slight alcohol warmth. Taste of toffee and malt.

Pours a nice dark reddish amber color. Aromas of fruit, and some other hints, maybe some spices, maybe caramel. Flavor is a bittersweet, malty, and a hint of hops with a nice bittersweet finish.

Bottled. An amber beer with a huge tan head. The aroma has notes of matl and caramel. The falvor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, metal, and straw, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.
