Quite a good beer, though it reminds me a lot of Gouden Carolus. Looks nice in the glass, has a good aroma,Tastes rather good.

Sampled from bottle presumably @ Benzai’s place quite some time ago. Dark brown colour...Smell and taste malts, caramel, sweetish... Typical Belgian beer.

Deep red color with an off white head. Aroma of cherry, brown sugar (not heroine). Heavy taste, sweet, tastes like coke, a little south freshness. Lots of carbonation. Ok beer, I guess.

Wolf was one of the first Belgian craft beers I tried after moving here. Had this out at some restaurants but now bringing it home for the review. The 8 is a lovely dark brown with a great moguled, shaving-cream head. Maybe a bit over-carbonated, but it also helps it stay brisk at 8.2%. Nice branding to match - consistent, and a good series effect with the 7, 8, and 9.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown/black; head is (as usual for a Wolf, apparently) massive and then quickly gone. Nose is really subdued; don’t really smell too much at all compared to 7 and 9, a bit sweet and some alcoholt. Medium body, well carbonated; texture is lively for sure and finish is medium. Bit bitter, bit sweet, my least favorite of the 3 Wolfs that i’ve had.

33 cl @home . Mooie donker bier met dikke bruinige schuimkraag . Lekker bruin bier. Aangenaam verrast. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Fles gedeeld met peltmeister. Donker/robijn rood bier. Aroma is alcoholisch. Smaak is eerst wat zurig en in de nadronk bitter. Ik vind wat karamel tonen terug.

Heeft een beetje een cola kleur met een volle bruine kraag. Ruikt zoetig, beetje caramel. Matige smaak. Typische donker bier. Beetje dunne smaak.

330 ml bottle - pours deep brown amber with persisting light beige head. Aroma of lightly roasted malt, caramel, honey, apple. Medium body with light palate, nice sweetness, combined with slight alcohol warmth. Taste of toffee and malt.

Pours a nice dark reddish amber color. Aromas of fruit, and some other hints, maybe some spices, maybe caramel. Flavor is a bittersweet, malty, and a hint of hops with a nice bittersweet finish.
