3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask (Murderer’s, Norwich)
Nice gold, small loose head. Aroma a little grainy with some honey which builds up over time. Gently bitter malty body. Soft palate, carbonation low. A simple bitter, but perfectly serviceable. Plenty of esters in the retronasals, which gives it some character.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bought the beer based on the association with the great dame Edith Cavell. Pleasent aroma, quite murky but tastes well. Good beer that tastes much stronger than the 3.7. Enjoyed.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hand-pulled pint (pump clip of Edith Cavell) on 20th April 2014 in The Kings Head, Lingwood. Good amber colour with a full white head that produced some impressive lacing. Semi-sweet floral hop aroma and taste, tastes heavier than 3.7% ABV and it’s body depth implied a stronger brew too. Not complex or different, just a well made session ale that has enough character to make you want another.
