A bright little summer ale with light grassy hop aromas along with a good hit of lemon. Quite citric again in the mouth, very zingy, fresh and drinkable. It’s not hugely interesting but very sunny and refreshing. The carbonation numbs my tongue out somewhat but all around it is a sweet little number.

Cask at the Wigan Beer Festival. Gold/amber colour with white head. Hoppy aroma, citrussy hop taste with a good malt counterbalance. Crisp finish. A very good session beer.

(Bottle from Co-op, long stratton) Poured a copper clear colour with a big white head that lasted. Smelt hoppy and citrusy with a bit of butterscotch. May be because I hadn’t eaten in a few hours but the first sip of this tasted brilliant - a very nice pronounced hop flavour, not overly citrusy, just solid, well rounded and fairly bitter as it finishes. The maltiness in biscuit like in character, making a bittersweet taste. Brilliant for what I expected, which was just a golden orientated bitter. Very drinkable.

Bottle, shared by fonefan. It pours a clear, golden body under a white head. Butterscotch and citrus in the aroma, not much else, and not very pronounced, but at least without off-flavors. The aroma is much the same, and has a piney, citrusy bitter finish. Medium, quite effervescent mouthfeel. Quite refreshing and drinkable, but also un-challenging. Would probably be easy to down a few, but also boring. (080822)
