ONE OF OUR BIG RED ALES THAT HAS A GREAT CARAMEL MALT PROFILE BALANCED BY BITTERNESS AND FLAVOR BY NORTHERN BREWER AND CENTENNIAL HOPS. OUR “WEST COAST” YEAST STRAIN GIVES A NICE FRUTINESS TO THE BALANCE. HOPS: NORTHERN BREWER AND CENTENNIAL

Draught at the brewpub. Nut brown, brief head. Perfumy and roasty. Medium sweet with slim body and soapy rounded mouthfeel. A late bitternes that grows with time. A pleasant hop aromatic ale.

Consumed on tap at brewery 12/10/07. Brown, clear, no active carbonation, good head retention. No aroma. More hops than anything else; they overwhelm any maltiness there might be. Not quite hop juice, but hoppier than I thought red ales were supposed to be. Light astringency on finish. One dimensional.
