A wonderful, rich, malty beer. It has masses of flavor and a slightly sweet finish. Dangerously drinkable!

Fig and plum aromas from a dark copper coloured body with a tiny white head, Quite sweet and fruity with an aftertaste that is quite dry, obviously requiring more beer!

Bottle. Ruby with a soft white head. Sweet malt, nuts, biscuit, old pennies and some apple and strawberry, which adds a slight sharpness.

500ml Bottle conditioned: BBD end of Aug 2013. Poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard at home on 20 Jun 2013. No sediment left the bottle: A beige creamy head sat on top of a brown body with a red hue to it. Sweet malty nose and taste: caramel with nuts. Balanced by some fairly bitter hops towards the end of each sip. Good body depth, rich and full of malty flavours: a very good beer from a brewery that always seems to impress me.
