500ml Bottle conditioned: BBD end of Aug 2013. Poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard at home on 20 Jun 2013.
No sediment left the bottle: A beige creamy head sat on top of a brown body with a red hue to it.
Sweet malty nose and taste: caramel with nuts. Balanced by some fairly bitter hops towards the end of each sip.
Good body depth, rich and full of malty flavours: a very good beer from a brewery that always seems to impress me.
