JorisPPattyn (4500), Antwerpen, Belgium Mar 16, 2008 Small whitish head over slightly orange tinted golden beer. Perfumey-grainy nose, some citrus/orange and a bit peppery, yet giving a sweet alcohol impression. Dry, bitterish taste, bit cardemom or rootspices, and just a little citrus, but very, very little restsweetness; well attenuated. Velvety-soft MF, very flattering, yet quite spritzy, crisp carbonation. Strange Bock, discrepancy between nose & taste, but certainly not bad. Danke vielmals, Sebastian u. Roman Dixen (1465), Copenhagen, Denmark Mar 6, 2006 Light sweet malty aroma, with a certain dryness to it. Yellow colored body with a very small white head. Quite sweet malt flavor, quite crisp with a very light hop finish. MiP (6029), Flensburg, Germany Apr 23, 2008 Bottle, 6.7%. Rough spent grain aroma. Clear yellow colour, small white head. The flavour starts off with a very uncompromising bitterness. Then it turns very malty with a little smoke and a little cream. Quite surprising, and not bad. Papsoe (10510), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 26, 2006 (Bottle 33 cl) Pours pilsener golden with a small, white head. Malty nose with plenty of pilsener malt and some fresh, lightly floral notes. Light, hoppy finish. Quite lovely for a pale (Heller) Bock. Comes in a cool and classy longneck bottle. 190206 Ungstrup (11385), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 6, 2006 A golden beer with a white head. The aroma is slightly flowery, while the flavor is a good mixture of hops and malt, as well as light flowery notes.
