Hamilton Hall Spoons. Clear gold beer. Thin white head. Softish palate, semi dry. Pleasent sweetish citrus orange with a little mango and traces of other fruits. Dry finish where the pale malt becomes more noticeable. Lightly bitter fruit aftertaste. Decent.

Cask gravity at Cambridge BF 08. Gold with lasting white head. Pretty standard drinkable strong golden beer. Some vague American citrus hops. Some syrupy citrus fruit. But fine if unexciting.

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Clear, matte gold pour with a slight, white head. Great nose, citrusy hops, grass, tangerine and grapefruit. Nice flavor, a touch soapy, with tangerine and mild bread, along with some grassy bitterness. Medium in body with fine carbonation. Well balanced finish, light sugars giving way to earthy, grassy and citrusy hops that linger on the tongue. Very good beer.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Pale gold with no head. There was a real sicky flavour in this beer, astringent, perfumed and quite difficult to swallow. Chemical bitterness. Not my sort of beer at all.

Cask at The White House. Golden coloured beer with a thick white creamy head. Pale malt aroma, lightly fruity aroma but not all that interesting. Not a great deal of flavour, but there is a bit of spice in the back. A lightly apricot fruitiness, light bitterness. Good balance, but still kind of boring.

Cask, William Wygston, Wigston. Golden with an off-white foam. Aromas are crisp lemon with yeast and apricot jam. Floral with citrus being quite sharp. Flavours are lemon meringue with yeast and a gentle yet hoppy citrus bitterness. Surprisingly strong for it’s drinkability.
