Test vom 16.1.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Grima (2098) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - JUL 3, 2011
Pours a bright, ruby red beer that has a sparkling head, which is very fast away. The smell is roasted malt with a slight hint of caramel. It has aromas of sweet malts and a slight aroma of roasted malts. It is over very spicy, roasty, and only very subtle alcoholic. The finish has much roasted malts, also some slight caramell aromas.

Koelschtrinker (10669) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 1, 2011

(.5L bottle dated 9-11-10 thanks to blutt59) clear rich copper with a ring of tan bubbles. Nose of caramel, raisin, and brown sugar. Taste of toasty brown sugar, molasses, raisins and cracker. Medium thick body that’s dry as a bone. Nice doppelbock.

Thanks to blutt59 for sharing this 500 ml bottle. The beer pours an amber color with a white head. The aroma is iced tea and toffee. The beer smells about like a doppelbock is supposed to smell. The flavor is tea, toffee, bread and caramel malt. As expected, this beer is a malt bomb. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
