It’s unclear dark brown with a huge, creamy head and the aroma has notes of caramel, yeast, wheat and a light touch of fruit. The sweet flavor has notes of yeast, a little fish?, caramel, wheat and a little banana. The finish is slightly dry.

Tap @ Wolferstetter Brauerei in Vilshofen, Germany

A perfect dunkelweizen appearance. A brown beer with a high head that last all the way through the drinking process. Nice aroma of chocolate, fresh hops, banana and a bit raspberry. Flavors are chocolate and a nice maltyness, light alcohol and an aftertaste marked by genuine chocolate. Mild bitterness. Immidiately I found it a bit tasteless, but as the taste buds gets used to the beer you will discover a lot of exciting nuances. The beer might be a little thin, but on the other hand really soft and easy to drink. A good beer, but somewhat it might seem just a bit boring. Nice nuances in both taste, aroma and appearance, but it isn’t really a revalation when put together. Somehow, I never really get blown away by these dunkelweizens.
