Came across this beer in Perth, Australia! Not many stand out Pilseners available on the Australian market. Marketed as Wolf Beer in Australia, this is a STAND OUT Pilsener of exceptional quality! Remarkably fresh (Date of bottling prominently displayed) and crisp with strong hop flavour, impressive foam stability, long & clean palate. This beer is not pasteurised, unlike most other beers. Very impressed, this is my new favourite Pils!

it’s warm golden with a white, creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt, straw and a touch of cellar. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of malt, straw, dusty grain and a little cellar, and the finish has a light bitterness.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some slight saltwater, mild grassy hops as well as some slight herbal notes. Flavour is grassy, earthy, quite bready, but sweet malts as well as some mild floral notes in the finish.

Bottle: Golden, almost no carbonation visible, small persistent lacy white head; pale malty nose with very faint strawy and hoppy aromas; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, relatively light bodied, soft MF; short, almost watery, hoppy finish. Regarding, that Josef Groll "invented" the famous Pilsner Urquell, this is a very weak "descendant"......

Bottle 500ml. @ home.

Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, hay, cereal, toasted. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily and smooth, carbonation is soft. [20100513]

Bottled 50cl. Clear pale golden with a decent white head. Diacetyl in the nose. Buttery, suprisingly malty taste with hints of apple and slight metal. Residual sugars in the finish. Not at all my kind of pils.

The bottle looks simple but good, the beer in the glass is okay. Starts a bit moldy-sourish, but turns then nicely hoppy-fresh, a bit grasy. Finish shows also spicy-woody notes, still hoppy, not too dry. Well balanced and quite drinkable. Good pilsener!
