Golden with an Ok head. The aroma has notes of straw and malt. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of malt, straw, grass and a light bitterness. It’s an uncomplicated and quenching beer.

Bottle: Deep golden, smaller, quickly diminishing, slightly lacing white head, sweet honeyish-malty nose with traces of hops, alcohol and canned tuna; solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; sweet, medicinal and a bit bitter finish. Rather odd brew.........

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, deep golden with a white head. Clean, malty nose with a floral touch. Medium body with lightly sweet, malty accents and a dry finish. 090407

Bottled. A golden beer with a huge light orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, and so is the flavor, leading to a lightly bitter end. OK.

Bottle, at The Criterion, Leicester. No aroma, and looks fairly pale for a Fest beer, with only a blush of colour. Smooth metallic taste to begin with, then a ridge of alcohol and sharpish malt notes, with more metal. The aftertaste lingers. Very thin, very fizzy, no head. A good beer, but fairly standard.
