Orange colour and small head. Flavour has sweetish malt and some raw apple. Flavour has butter and sweetish malt with hints of grain. Drinkable, not the most typical märzen.

(Rating #3823)

My Bottom Line :
Subtly caramelized cereals are brushed by herbal, peppery hops in this full-bodied, sugary festbier.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-Plenty of foam tops the krug, later revealing to be covering an amber-coloured brew.
-I would have preferred more hop presence in this brew.
-The soft carbonation helps drinkability, but the doughy sugars do the contrary.
-The finish is too easygoing for my tastes. Makes for a forgettable brew.
-This wasn’t bad by any means, but it wasn’t one of the best Annafestbiers at all.

On tap at Annafest.

Ceramic mug. The aroma is quite toasty. The flavour is also toasty, caramelly and balanced. Relatively mellow for an Annafest bier, though it is balanced. Bready.

Draft @ Annafest. Copper-red in krug. Fluffy cap is not huge but leaves lace. Aroma is stones, minerals, metals. Nice. Quaffable juicy palate. Sweeter than it is hoppy. Has bread, caramel, and lingering sweetness on the palate.
