Bügelverschlußflasche: Hazy, light amber to amber coloured, small off-white foamy layer; toasted grains and some fruits in the nose; grassy herbal hops are detectable, too; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, pretty light bodied; slightly lingering grainy-fruity finish with some subdued aromatic hops. Not really bad, but pretty tame by franconian standards...

(swing top bottle) Hazy, amber colour with a medium-sized tanned foamy head. Slightly toasty malty aroma with hints of caramel, mildly bready notes and a tinge of herbal and subtle citric hops in the background. Sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a tame carbonation. Mildly toasted malty taste with notes of caramel and a very shy hoppy touch; sweet and almost a bit sticky malty finish with a restrained hops character. 22.XI.12

500ml bottle. Cloudy amber colour with huge, firm, frothy, moderately lacing, off-white head. Minimally sweet grainy aroma with a touch of hay, grass, hints of Spekulatius. Taste is initially dry hoppy with caramel malty undertones, later a slightly unpleasant earthy touch of unripe spelt grain in combination with decent hints of caramel malt prevail; overdosed carbonation.

Bottle. Dark golden, hazy, small to average and fully diminishing head. Moderate, malty and caramel sweetish aroma, some bread, faint hoppyness. Body is medium, malty - lightly grainy and sweetish flavor, some caramel and light bread. Finish is average, malty - lightly grainy and sweetish, light caramel and light brad, faint hoppyness. Sweetish kellerbier, too sweet for me.
