Spina @ scurreria.

Pours pale yellow, opalescent, with a medium and persistent white head. Aroma of barnyard, cheese (parmigiano), esters, lactic, light smoke... terribile. Flavour is light sweet with a sour end, citric and light tart. Medium to light body, medium carbonation. Not my cup of tea.

Draught at the brewpub. Slightly sulfury but that only suits its lactic taste. Light, crisp, aromatic. Decidedly lactic though not as sour as a berliner weisse. Really nice aftertaste of sour milk and just a pinch of hops. A complementary bonfire smoked note, on the verge of perception. Well, this is a very good sour beer. Sour enough, not over the top and very aromatic. Thumbs up.

Aroma: lactobacillus, very weak smoked notes, sour. Appearance: hazy straw color, nice white head. Taste: smoked notes (like bonfire), sourness, cloves, thin malty backbone. Palate: low body and high carbonation, smoked finish. Overall: Probably the last traditional lichtenhainer. Really good stuff.

Hazy yellow of color with a white head. An aroma of wheat, sour, barn and sulfur. A flavor of wheat, sour and fresh.

courtesy of fiulijn, 4% - pretty clear yellow-blond beer with absolutely no foam; sulphury and lactic aroma, citric; thin-bodied, pretty acidic, very dry, tart and citric, lactic aftertaste - fresh and decently complex; charming

(Test vom 28.6.2007) --> 12,10,9,10,15,14 - 11,90

Bottle. 2.5%. No best before date, but some years old. Pours a cloudy yellow with an off-white head. Aroma is sweetish and sourish, note of wheat and a light cream cheese-like note. Flavour is sour and sweet, with a bit of rum essence and a faint cardboard note. A bit watery. Sour finish, dry, with a not of berries and a lingering nectarine note. Overall okay, and surprised it holds up so well after several years. Still, would like to try a fresher one. 05.10.13.

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2014 Vom Faß in der Talschänke. - Orangegelb, trüb; dichter weißer Schaum. - Nase und Antrunk fruchtig-würzig, Koriandernoten, etwas scharf. Leicht beißende, saure Schärfe (tartness) mit hintergründiger Orangensüße. Trockener Abgang ohne Bittere.
