2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Green bottle festbier. 11.2 oz bottle.
It pours an amberish gold with a frothy white head that actually leaves some nice lacing.
Smell is lightly skunked, it smells like a beefed-up Euro Pale Lager. It is like if you made an EPL maerzen.
The flavor follows, it is a bit more malt forward than the nose would suggest, but it is pretty basic, and weak for a Festbier.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Pint.
Appearance: Clear burnished gold (almost a light copper) with rapidly diminishing head leaving absolutely nothing behind.
Aroma: Cherry and biscuit maltiness with metallic and spicy noble hops.
Taste: Nice malts with biscuit, cherry and hay. Long lasting spicy bitterness at the end.
Palate: Moderate carbonation, relatively light body, dry finish.
Overall: Very solid, easy drinking Marzen.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33cl bottle. Pours golden-orange colour with not much head. The nose has notes of fine malts with just a hint of caramel, but no more than a hint. The taste has very pronouced hops from the beginning to the end - there seems to be notes of lemon intermingling notes of malt and caramel. The palate is unusual for a lager - there’s more texture and structure but not so much refreshment. Overall, I like it, though it’s not what I expected!

1.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
The beer pours a deep golden with a great big very loose head that fizzes away quickly. You know, something about skunk on breakfast cereal has become one of the aromas I truly detest the most in a beer, fortunately this fades a bit allowing the bouquet to present a very interesting hop aroma very herbal yet well balanced with an almost musky perfume note and light lilac. The flavor has plenty of that herbal hop character, and thank goodness for that because without something to balance the sickening sweetness of this beer there would be absolutely nothing redeeming about it. What a weird juxtaposition this beer has, the more I smell it the more appealing it becomes, the more I drink it the more revolting it becomes. Flavors of frosted corn flakes, tomato, garbage, metal, and light toasted grain dominate this beer more and more the more I drink it... and almost none of these flavors offer anything pleasant. I have to say that at the front of the palate that nice hop zing keeps up, but the aroma and the hops seem like they’re trying to trick me into drinking more of this, and that makes me despise them for their trickery.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle thanks to nuplastikk: Pours a clear deep golden bronze with a spotty-lacing covering of white head. Has a lightly sweet toasted malty nose with some floral Saaz hoppiness and a touch of light fruity esters. Starts with some finely dissolved carbonation and light sugary sweetness with a decent balance of bittering hops before a crisp bittersweet finish. Pretty true to style, but could be a little fuller bodied.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
11.2oz bottle. Filtered, pale, orange-tan color. No real head to speak of. A really cheap, thin, boring Oktoberfest. Think stale stateside Lowenbrau. Medium bodied, some slight pungent yeast tones, mellow peppery hop balance Drinkable at time, but still has a skunky, metallic, factory thing goin on. Unimpressive.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Slightly skunked aroma, although the malts thankfully are more present. Good malty flavor to it, a good but not great Fest bier, mainly because its slightly subdued in flavor.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Yez, I was lucky enough to get a bottle of this from house of 1000 beers. You know, the slight aroma of skunk in some beers is not all that bad! Big and small CO2 in the pale lager show, filtered fer sure. Yeah, rather strong for lager and some of that piercing aroma carries thru to the taste. Metallic aroma follows with a wierd sensation of sterile palate. Fienwerzig baby! Mit mildren hofnaharoma. Du Haust, were living in amerika! One of the more mild fest beers I’ve had and I’m liking that. Jeet yet?

330 ml bottle. Pours a light copper with a decent fluffy white head. Aroma of sweet malt, grass and a touch of hops. Light and sweet tasting, easy to drink. Not remarkable, but enjoyable.

3.1 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Better import than Corona, Heineken, Guinness, Beck, Fosters, Amstel. Yeasty, grassy, thick German beer. But it remains too shy, never coming out of its shell. One degree above flat. Typical noble: aroma (beta hops) hiding the absence of full flavor (alpha).
