This ground-breaking style combines the essential ingredients and hopping methods used to create a world-class I.P.A. Then using our expert lagering techniques and house lager yeast we created an instant favorite among the existing and steadily growing number of “hop-heads” and craft “lager-heads” in the beer world today. Gulo Gulo I.P.L. is hopped with Cascade, Chinook, Columbus, Warrior and Pilgrim hops. It is dry-hopped once in the fermenter and then a second time with whole-cone Cascade hops before packaging.

Going to assume this was an old bottle. Poured a dark golden color with a white head. Aroma was of stale hips, grass and caramel. Flavor similar, weirdly bitter and lightly vegetables.

Bottle - Light citrus and pale malts. Clear gold orange with a small white head. Light sweetness and citrus. Not bad, but there are much better in this style.

Bottle: The aroma consists of light-moderate citrus with some faint grassy notes. It pours a transparent amber with a one finger white head that leaves behind a nice sticky sheet of lacing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of sweet citrus and light caramel. The finish has light-moderate grapefruit and lighter pine. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat soft mouthfeel.

12oz bottle, thanks to umich03jm for this one! shared with a few local beer enthusiasts, who inadvertently only left me about 1oz. Clear golden orange color. Thin ring of white head. Leaves some decent splotches of lace, mostly loose. Good orange citrus biscuity malt nose. Medium body. Smooth, kind of crisp lighter carbonation. Light dry finish. Pretty refreshing. Awesome biscuity malt, some honey to it. Moderate bitter taste. Lighter sweet. Judging from my single swig... A good, balanced, convincing IPL! Would revisit...

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy bright orange color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light caramel, bread, pine, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with bright citrus/earthy hop notes with moderate malt sweetness; and good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fair amount of floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity of bright citrus/floral hops with moderate bready malt sweetness; with a nice malt/bitterness balance and minimal cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and moderately sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice Imperial Pilsner. All around nice complexity of bright hop and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

12oz bottle thanks to mikem409, pours a clear dark goldish copper with a thin white head and spotty lacing, aroma is sweet with bread notes at first with a kick of citrus and hops, flavor is again sweet with grain and a good amount of citrus and hops in the finish, sweet at t he same time, different but good.
