If we were to declare a style, India Black Lager would be it. A crisp, black and roasty lager beer, balanced with clean malt character, charged with unique hop flavor and aromas that are definitive of American hop varieties. UPDATED: DEC 22, 2012 Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a near clear dark brown with a brown head that dissipates throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has a nice combination of dark bread and pine hoppiness with a hint of grapefruit. Flavor has even more of the pine/grass hops with a backing dark bread note. Drinks nicely.
