Light haze on this gold beer, good white head. Palate is light and crisp and semi dry. Light pale malt, dry. Dry floralness witha bit of a soapy edge. Whisper of citrus. Dry finish. Not working for me, too dry and skewed but it’s not terrible either.

Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Gold with white head. Quite an overly sweet beer, sticky in character with a sweet honey flavour. Some fruitiness perhaps but I found difficulty in overcoming the sweetness.

Cask @ cask corner, doncaster. Golden colour. Taste of honey more pronounced than most honey beers. Quite sweet and musty but quite nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JUN 16, 2013 Re-rate 15/06/13 pre Queens snifters at the Duchess of Cambridge, cask dispense. Clear pale golden with a handsome looking white head. Fresh smelling and tasting beer, summer fruits, sugars, citrus, pale malt, honey evident. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, good conditioning. Decent enough GB fayre - big contrast to original rating! New rating 4/6/6/4/13 = 3.3 Original rating 4/3/5/3/8 = 2.3 (clearly gone). ORIGINAL RATING:- Gravity Dispense at Merchants Inn Beer Festival, Rugby - 31/10/12. Hazy pale golden with no head. Nose is sour, vinegar tones, bitter. Tastes of sour fruit, very faint hint of honey, light caramel. Medium bodied with little carbonation. Not good - possibly off, however the barman at the festival told me it had only come on the previous day. He did take it off after trying mine. Need to re-rate.

Cask at the Craft Beer Co, London on 22nd September 2012. Amber with white part-lacing foam. Sweetish fruity aroma. Honey balanced by herbiness and earthy pungency in-mouth. Tangy finish, slight mustiness late. Zingy mouthfeel.
