First of the Woodchuck Cellar Series, this cider is an infusion of cider with crisp citrus and pine notes. Enjoy the smooth apple character of Woodchuck’s signature hard cider perfectly balanced against the bitterness of hops. Enjoy!

Bottle. Very pale with no real head. Smells floral and almost a little vanilla-y. Lightly bitter. A tinge metallic.

Bottle. Pours a clear color with a apple hop taste. Sweet dry hop taste. Interesting but more apple than anything

12 oz. 5% abv version. Pours the palest white-gold with a disappearing head. Nose is fresh cut apple with a bit of citrus zest and mint. Taste is cider and mint with a touch of resin. Light body and carbonation, decent balance. Maybe the higher (6.9%) abv version was worthwhile, but there was really no reason to make this one.

Sample at Westover. Pale yellow with white film. Crisp apple with grassy hops. This is not good.

12 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a clear yellow with no head. The aroma is light, but I get some herbal qualities and some apple skin. The taste is mostly apple skins with sweetness bing the primary characteristic, but there is some tartness in there as well. Light in body and medium in carbonation.

Bottle. Clear gold color. Aroma is apple. Taste is kind of nasty. Apple upfront nasty finish.

Bottle at home. Aroma is tart cider and some hoppiness. Flavor is tart apples and some hop presence. Decent, but I’d prefer either a beer or a cider, and this is a tertium quid, neither really cider nor beer. But nonetheless, drinkable and enjoyable.

Honey sweet aroma and flavor with a light clear golden color and incredibly smooth palate.

UPDATED: MAR 5, 2015 Draft at Buffalo Wild Wings in Frederick, MD. Served in a wheat beer glass, clear pale golden color with minimal white head. Aroma of sweet apples, pear, citrus and faint pine note. Taste adds some herbal notes, some white wine and faint hop bitterness. Light body, moderate carbonation, soft, dry with faint bitter sweet apple finish. Pretty good cider.
