COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark and Dry is made with a blend of apples and champagne yeast but caramelized sugar is added just before filtering to impart a deep bronze tone. White sugar is used in the Amber Cider.

Appears to be a light amber beer by sight alone . The color of this cider is a watery orange red mix with a thin fizzy head. Aroma is pretty apple juicy. Champagne yeast didn’t get this cider as dry as I expected. Very drinkable cider

"A little on the sweet side, but I like the dryness in the finish...does that count as body or flavor? Not a standout, but i’d drink again, and fall is the time for this stuff."

355ml bottle. Darker amber pour compared to most cidres. Smell is apples, slight rotten apple. Flavor is super sweet, some non-apple fruit flavor, back sweetened with caramalized sugar as opposed to regular sugar/corn syrup. So much for it calling itself a "dry cider". Another bad woodchuck cidre.

12oz bottle. Aroma is apples and caramel. Pours very dark for a cider, more orange than the other offerings from Woodchuck that i’ve had. Tase is caramel, apple, molasses, with hints of vanilla. Fuller bodied and thicker texture than most of Woodchuck’s other offerings. Overall I’d say this is a pretty good cider that’s hard to go wrong with.

Pretty good cider. It is less sweet than the Amber cider with a more complex flavor. The cider looks great, but a look at the label shows caramel coloring. I try to ignore that and enjoy the taste and aroma. It pours a light reddish brown with a small ring head. It tastes sweet at first with a sour finish. Feels more like a properly aged cider than the typical American ciders.

This was poured into a pint glass and a wine glass. There was barely any difference between the two. The appearance was a slight clear amber color with a fizzy head. The smell had sweet apples with a slight brown sugar sort of effect going on. The taste was pretty much the same. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body. I would say this was pretty sessionable. The carbonation was there , slightly sharp but not overbearing. Overall, decent cider, probably wouldn’t go out of my way for it again.

Draft at Moriartys. Crystal clear orange gold pour. No head. Nicely tart. Big apples. Sweet but has a mostly dry finish. Better cider than most.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber body with a minimal fizzy off-white head that completely vanished. The nose is a bit sweeter than the average cider, with some brown sugar like notes. Some typical apple juice and skin notes as well. The flavor is also sweeter than most of the macro ciders. Still not all that different than most macro ciders though. Some juicy apple and a lesser apple skin tartness. Usual slightly sticky and clingy body with fizzy effervescent carbonation. Meh, not a cider I’d pick up for a second go around.

I can't believe this has an average rating below three. I think this is an amazing cider! Xxx. Xxxzzxxxxxxvxbbvdffvbbbgnfhggnffnrgbffgfbgfgf

Bottle. Nose is sweet and full of apples. Pours is a rich copper with amber highlights, strong carbonation and a fizzy off-white head that wasn’t long for this world. Taste is very sweet but not cloying, there’s some mild fruitiness but no caramel flavor, of course. Lightly tart, light-medium body, no bitterness, crisp and very, very refreshing!
