Dark and Dry is made with a blend of apples and champagne yeast but caramelized sugar is added just before filtering to impart a deep bronze tone. White sugar is used in the Amber Cider.

pours pale clear straw yellow, nose smells like apple farts, taste is not dry, way too sweet.

Appears to be a light amber beer by sight alone . The color of this cider is a watery orange red mix with a thin fizzy head. Aroma is pretty apple juicy. Champagne yeast didn’t get this cider as dry as I expected. Very drinkable cider

Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber body with a minimal fizzy off-white head that completely vanished. The nose is a bit sweeter than the average cider, with some brown sugar like notes. Some typical apple juice and skin notes as well. The flavor is also sweeter than most of the macro ciders. Still not all that different than most macro ciders though. Some juicy apple and a lesser apple skin tartness. Usual slightly sticky and clingy body with fizzy effervescent carbonation. Meh, not a cider I’d pick up for a second go around.

I can't believe this has an average rating below three. I think this is an amazing cider! Xxx. Xxxzzxxxxxxvxbbvdffvbbbgnfhggnffnrgbffgfbgfgf

Bottle. Nose is sweet and full of apples. Pours is a rich copper with amber highlights, strong carbonation and a fizzy off-white head that wasn’t long for this world. Taste is very sweet but not cloying, there’s some mild fruitiness but no caramel flavor, of course. Lightly tart, light-medium body, no bitterness, crisp and very, very refreshing!

My favorite woodchuck cider. Not counting the bourbon barrel one. Not too sweet and not too dry. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sugary aroma of caramel. Drank from the bottle. Sweet tasting but not close to overpowering.

Bottle from Castro. Light pour with little to no head. Aroma is apple cinnamon. Taste is the same.

Bottle. Medium brown pour, clear, moderate carbonation. Flavor is up front moderately tart apples, but not really dry. Finishes slightly tart and drier, not a lot lingers into the finish. Nice enough, but somewhat simple compared to some others from this brewer. Would probably opt for the Amber over this one.

From a 12 oz bottle shared at home. Pours a clear light amber. Big round sweet over ripe apple flavor.

Squat 12 oz brown bottle. Clear, bronze cider without much head. I really liked the aroma - understated - softly sweet, baked apple, a little leather. Tangy, a little vinegar, pretty sweet, lightly malic acid-astringent. Lingering cider vinegar in the finish. Medium body. Enjoyable. ABC Liquors, Betton.
