3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Phatz (225) - Paradise, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 6, 2006This is a very unique beverage. I am not really sure what to compare it to? It was definitely good, but new to me.
Appearance: The most clear beverage I have reviewed to date. Perrier clear; that is, it’s barely tinted apple juice color. Completely transparent.
Smell: It has a nice granny smith apple aroma, that is sweet and fructose sugary, with a hint of tartness. Very gentle, sweet juice like smell.
Taste & Mouthfeel: A nice, crisp, tart appley taste and that is clean and refreshing. Juicy and spritzy; this smooth cool feel in the mouth is very drinkable. The taste is mild and easy, so it goes down so nicely.
Drinkability: This is not what I would think of when I want a ’beer’ (if you could even call this beer). It is an alcoholic Granny Smith Apple Cider and a very good one, as long as that is what you want.
Hope this is helpful.
Cheers!

12 oz bottle. Pours sparkling yellow with minimal white head and soft carbonation. Sweet apple aroma. Tart flavor. Not really my thing, but good for what it is.

Pours almost clear, interestingly enough. Green apple tartness up front, some apple juice, and sweet sugar. Really simple/straight forward. The flavor is more of the same. Sugary sweetness, some apple juice, and a definite green apple tartness to it. As with most of the Woodchuck products, enjoyable, just not a great cider.

Hah! Found my rating from working back at woodys smokes and brews in tennessee. Not really worth finding though... Clearish pour with no head at all. Sweet tart sort of lemonlime green apple flavor that was to be expected, but a little on the fake side, like it was backsweetened a pinch or something. Nothing special. I’d rather have the amber I suppose.

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2013 On draught at Manchester Pub. I was less than impressed with this cider. I thought it was weak and flavorless, without balance and just not a great cider.

Smooth, slightly sweet and tasty...although not the best cider, a very decent cider though overall

A little too tart for my liking, and the aroma reflects that tartness too. It doesn’t do much other than that. Almost totally clear and no presentation to speak of.
