bhensonb (4189), Woodland, California, USA Aug 11, 2007 LIght pear aroma. Clear as water with a few bubbles. LIghtly sweet, with a tart component. Very clean. Not all that pear. Something like apple skin comes through at the finish. Also a slightly cooked pear note. Finish is relatively dry. Arguably refreshing. fakepurseninja (773), Washington, USA Aug 11, 2007 Smells candy-sweet, almost like a sweettart. Taste is similiar - sweet, very little pear flavor. Thin body, sweet finish. Goodgrief (1147), Middletown, Delaware, USA Aug 11, 2007 It’s not beer...but was offered at the beer festival, so I’m reviewing it. If you like pear juice with a zing, this is it. What else is there to say? If you have a wife who doesn’t really like alcoholic beverages and you want to get her drunk, give this a try (not that it would work for me). Otherwise, go for a beer instead. BrockLanders (747), Panama City, Florida, USA Jul 20, 2007 Ok...the only reason I bought this crap was to fill out the cider category...I admit it. Pours a translucent golden color....zero head. Sweet fruity aroma...not sure if it’s a pear scent....whatever. Extra-fizzy, thin mouthfeel...as expected. Light pear (I think I convinced myself of that) flavor with a ton of sugary sweetness. I think I’d prefer a wine cooler. Nothing to rave about here. mg21497 (12), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jul 15, 2007 Disapointed me in comparasion to there cider brew. I found this leaving my mouth really dry and lacking much of and actual pear taste. rdelljh (117), Pennsylvania, USA Jul 1, 2007 The white wine of cider.
Subtle pear taste. Smooth yet fizzy.
The cheap man’s champagne. Glazed9884 (207), USA Jun 30, 2007 xxx I dont consider woodchuck beer so i refuse to raise its rating, it doesnt taste good, its too fruity and makes me naseus after a lil consumption. KAggie97 (2406), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Jun 19, 2007 Bottle. Pours typical of most ciders-- pale, yellow and highly carbonated. Faint notes of pear in the nose and in the flavor. Thin mouthfeel.
