Commercial Description:
For years, we've been telling you that great taste grows on trees -- apple trees that is. But just across the orchard we discovered another kind of great taste. We went out on a limb and created Woodchuck Pear Cider, a crisply refreshing drink with the tantalizing essence of pear. You can buy it in 6-packs or on draft.

I got this merely to have an example of the newly added style & none of the good ones are in my area that I’ve found. This looks like carbonated water with a minor head. The aroma is of lightly sweet pears and nothing else. Light body with some semi-soft carbonation. The taste is pretty watery with some pear, light sweetness and not much else. Not offensive, but this is terribly boring. If you want to get one in for the style this is fairly inexpensive, but if you’re looking for an enjoyable ciders there are MUCH better out there.

(12oz bottle) Minimal white head atop crystal clear ever-so-slightly tinted water. Aroma is moderately sweet, pear, faint apple. Taste is medium sweet, sugar, pear. Light body, light crispness. Inoffensive and sodaish.

Brilliant! The Woodchuck mix pack is my all time favorite thing other then quantum physics and the study of nano technology. Getting to a bottle of pear cider is the bonus!

Sweet and fruity. This was nice, cool and refreshing. However, I think it lacks any complexity and drinkability.

Pours a color slightly lighter than water with no head. Aroma is very mild. Doesn’t really smell like pears but it does smell like mild citrus. Flavor is very good. A nice crisp citrus smack. Very refreshing.

(Rating #899)

I prefer the amber woodchuck, but this is not without its merit. There are delicious crisp pears to be found, though this ’beer’ is more like a soda. Maybe keep one or two around for random guests.

Yellowish water color. Light fruity aroma. Medium dry, light fruity taste. At least it doesn’t seem to be so artificial like the Swedish ones.
