Commercial Description:
For years, we've been telling you that great taste grows on trees -- apple trees that is. But just across the orchard we discovered another kind of great taste. We went out on a limb and created Woodchuck Pear Cider, a crisply refreshing drink with the tantalizing essence of pear. You can buy it in 6-packs or on draft.

Not sure this can be considered beer. It has zero head and almost no color. You can smell and taste the fruit, but if I didn’t know it was pear, I wouldn’t have been able to guess it. Looks and tastes more like sparkling water than anything. I’m glad I only had one bottle.

Clear straw color with no head. Slightly floral aroma with soft pear notes. Very light flavor of pears, and not much else. Crisp and refreshing, but lacking any real substance, complexity, or finish. Good for what it is, a light crisp drink that hopefully will help persuade some of my non-beer drinking friends to eventually try more serious fare, but not something I’d drink if I actually wanted a beer.

(Bottle) Pours a pale yellow color without much head. Aroma of apples and pears. Possibly some other light fruits as well. Sweet blend of pear and apple in the taste. Not much of anything else in there. Lingering sweetness in the finish. Moderate carbonation level and relatively light palate.

12 oz. bottle from a sampler. Pours an asburdly clear very bubble palest yellow ever. Almost hard to tell there’s any color at all. Sweet pear aroma. Sweet pear taste as well. I like my perry and cider dry, and this is way too sweet. No depth or complexity.

this beer is a bit too sweet for the average palate. It is almost completly clear and has no head. I bought this beer at a package store that sells single bottles. If you plan on trying it, look for at one of these before buying a full six pack.

(bottle): Very clear very pale yelow body. Some whitish head, somewhat lasting. Fruity pear aroma, sugar. Somewhat effervescent. Sweet pear, not too dry. Not very carbonated, flattish. Somewhat watery.

Easy fruity beer to drink. I wouldn’t buy again but it tastes good. I like the other Woodchuck ciders more than this one.
