Commercial Description:
For years, we've been telling you that great taste grows on trees -- apple trees that is. But just across the orchard we discovered another kind of great taste. We went out on a limb and created Woodchuck Pear Cider, a crisply refreshing drink with the tantalizing essence of pear. You can buy it in 6-packs or on draft.

Pours almost completely clear like water with a slight yellow tinge. Aroma is fruity and of pears. Flavor is very pearish. And that’s about it. On tap.

My wife LOVES this cider. And I like it too, one sip every month or so anyway. It does taste like pears, but it needs something else. Needs a bit more tartness and balance.

Hard for me to believe I really used to enjoy these ciders! This just tastes of pear juice, sugar, and alcohol.

Pours a weird yellow green color with no head. Some bubbles but hardly any. Nose is sweet, sour, acidic, and of fruit. Taste is gross and floral. Think bathroom air freshner plus something bitter. Not good at all.

The only way I could acurately describe this stuff is to say that it looks, smells and tastes exactly like the syrup in which canned pears are packed. While that may not be all bad, I would never buy a sixer of canned pear syrup, and I doubt I would ever buy this again either.

Apparently there are a 150 cals per 12 oz bottle, and 4%, and then I keep reading down to the ingredients...wish I hadn’t, as it sounds more unnatural than most energy drinks. Aroma is of sweet ripe pears, caramel, sugar and some earthiness. Looks like pale ginger ale minus even the fizzy head (that this lacks). Taste is WAY too sweet and thing. Its a lot like drinking a soda in all the bad ways, except that it, like a soda, is quite easy to drink. Fizzy carbonation. There is this weird aftertaste left in my mouth that I can’t really describe properly. It reminds me a lot of Hookah tobacco. Oh well, won’t buy any more of this.

12 oz bottle from Country Club Liquors; nose of guess what? Pears! Translucent pale gold with a very small white head; flavor of lightly sweet pears with the bubbles tingling your tongue. Not a bad perry!

Pours almost crystal clear with almost no head. Sweet pear aroma with maybe a hint of apple. Watery body with a very light and crisp flavor of ripe pear. I guess it’s ok for what it is so I couldn’t be too harsh in rating it. Very easy drinking.
