COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For years, we've been telling you that great taste grows on trees -- apple trees that is. But just across the orchard we discovered another kind of great taste. We went out on a limb and created Woodchuck Pear Cider, a crisply refreshing drink with the tantalizing essence of pear. You can buy it in 6-packs or on draft.

Yellowish water color. Light fruity aroma. Medium dry, light fruity taste. At least it doesn’t seem to be so artificial like the Swedish ones.

(12oz bottle) Minimal white head atop crystal clear ever-so-slightly tinted water. Aroma is moderately sweet, pear, faint apple. Taste is medium sweet, sugar, pear. Light body, light crispness. Inoffensive and sodaish.

LIght pear aroma. Clear as water with a few bubbles. LIghtly sweet, with a tart component. Very clean. Not all that pear. Something like apple skin comes through at the finish. Also a slightly cooked pear note. Finish is relatively dry. Arguably refreshing.

Bottle from Party Source, KY. Light amber color with a small white head that diminished quickly. Medium green sweet fruit aroma. Light to medium body. Heavy sweet pear flavor with short sweet finish.

Bottle... Clear cider with a tiny, fizzy, white head that’s gone faster than you can say "quick." Ok, I’m getting a little fancy with the verbiage. Not much nose to speak of and, much like their raspberry cider, the flavor is way too sweet and soda-like. Light-bodied and fizzy. Short, sweet finish. I hate pear anyway. I don’t even like the pear notes found in many Belgian trippels, so this one had no real chance with me. If you like a sweet, fizzy, pear-like soda, this would be just the ticket.

Draft. Very pale yellow color, medium carbonation. Aroma and taste of moderate fruit, not too sweet. Nice stuff.

Pale straw colour with very light carbonation. The nose is of light fresh pear. A touch of light lemon and a bit of soft spicy tannins. Really fresh and crisp-smelling. The flavour is sweet but is also quite bright. It’s not complex by any means, but it has a lot of light fresh pear flavour. Semi-sweet.

UPDATED: JAN 7, 2009 Apparently there are a 150 cals per 12 oz bottle, and 4%, and then I keep reading down to the ingredients...wish I hadn’t, as it sounds more unnatural than most energy drinks. Aroma is of sweet ripe pears, caramel, sugar and some earthiness. Looks like pale ginger ale minus even the fizzy head (that this lacks). Taste is WAY too sweet and thing. Its a lot like drinking a soda in all the bad ways, except that it, like a soda, is quite easy to drink. Fizzy carbonation. There is this weird aftertaste left in my mouth that I can’t really describe properly. It reminds me a lot of Hookah tobacco. Oh well, won’t buy any more of this.
