COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Woodchuck Private Reserve Barrel Select is our ultra-limited cider crafted in small batches for a rare taste of sweet, crisp apple cider combined with smoky, dry bourbon flavors. Aged in genuine white oak Kentucky bourbon barrels, this copper-hued gem pairs excellently with cheese, pork roast and chocolate cake. Served best at 50 degrees, Barrel Select is truly an exclusive joy to relish.

Pours a brunt orange with no head. Aroma of sweet apples and booze, like someone poured malt liquor into apple juice. Very sweet boozy honey taste to start with a tart apple finish. Leaves a strange after taste.

I donít know what I expected but it was not this. It didnít test bad but I was not impressed by the unexpected taste from a cider. ít had a very meady, honey taste to it. Not pleasant at all. No vinegary or lingering after taste, so there was that going for it.

Not bad. This cider has a sweet apple flavor, a little tart. Lots of barrel, smoke, bourbon flavors. Very different than the other ciders Iíve had from Woodchuck.

Light golden pour with no head. Smells like apples and cinnamon and some light bourbon. Flavor allows the bourbon to shine and the apples take a back seat. Easily drinkable - it isnít boozy. Lots of cinnamon in flavor. Like an alcoholic apple pie. Unfortunately itís a bit too sweet like a pie - brown sugar, etc.

I did not expect to like this but I found it quite nice. Not too expensive yet it tastes rich but not overwhelming.

On tap at Farmhouse Tap and Grill, barrel 14. Light copper with no head. Very sweet, strong bourbon, oak and vanilla, lots of maple, apples and cider characteristics are overwhelmed until the finish, toffee, mild carbonation and sweet, bold flavour.

12 oz bottle at home from notes. Pours a clear orange amber color with no head at all. The aroma and flavor have sweet apples, a slight tang, oak, vanilla, some subtle bourbon, pretty good for a cider, but it is still a cider.
