Light amber pour with a white head. Sweet caramel, maple syrup, vanilla, and tons of oak. Some green apple tartness, sweet fruit, and molasses. Sweet flavor of maple syrup, caramel, molasses, and vanilla. Very strong flavor of charred oak, sweet apple, and some light tartness.

Brown bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours light amber with a slight creamy white head. Truth. Marvelous mixed aroma of cider, mild bourbon and oak. Med body. Flavor starts sweet, goes quite astringent, bounces to bourbon, then some oak pops out. Then it seems more astringent. Wow. The sweet start makes me thing of tart cherry. It is dry. Wasn’t getting smoke til I thought of it, but that’s in the mix. Simply amazing stuff.

Bottle. Poured clear dark copper color with a minimal fizzy head that diminished slowly with little lacing. Medium floral apple aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium tart apple flavor with a medium taqrt sweet finish of short to moderate duration. Solid drinkable refreshing beverage.

Good thing we don’t rate labels because this one is hideous. 12 ounce bottle from Belmont Party Supply. Pours a clear amber color with a thin fizzy white head. Poor head retention and lacing. Aroma of tart apples, vanilla and faint whisky notes. The taste is apples, bourbon, maple and wood. Medium bodied. A little on the sweet side. Despite the label its quite a nice cider.

Yellow gold pour, white head. Loads of apples and really awesome oak and bourbon notes. I love the barrel notes in this beer. And it makes a mean ass snakebite too!

Draft... Crystal clear, beautiful, textbook-amber pour with no legs. The aroma delivers tons of white oak, accompanied by notes of brown sugar, caramelized apple and vanilla. Full-bodied and syrupy with tingly carbonation. The flavor is bold, sweet and tangy - caramel, molasses, brown sugar, toasted oak and maple, accompanied by a nifty nuance of malic acid. Sweet, maple-syrupy, lightly tangy finish. A sipper for sure.

Bottle @ home. Slightly hazy, dark burnt orange appearance with an off white head. Charred wood, vanilla, roasty apple aroma. Sweet apple, charred wood, vanilla, light spice, light bourbon flavor. Kind of a weird concoction.

355mL. Pours deep amber with medium white foam. Longer retention for cider with some lace. Odd. Nose up front is green apple Jolly ranchers, moving to something like apple pie, something odd like musty General Store: dust, attic, linens, rose, stale candies, tootsie rolls. It is complex but very odd. Taste is sweet, candies, something starchy, still very dusty, attic. Feels old rather than fresh and quenching. The complexity is odd rather than intriguing. Fiancé rating :3.2

355ml green bottle. What? A woodchuck cider that is over 5%!? Still not a dry cider sweet bourbon notes atop a medium sweet cider bill.

Pour on tap, dark orange pour with no head, aroma brought notes of apple, vanilla, oak, bourbon, nice earth and spice. Taste is a mix of fruit, apple, hints of oak, bourbon, and vanilla, finishing with some spice. Nicely done.
