3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 madvike (2077) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 25, 2012
Bottle - Light amber with a thin bubbly ring of white head. Sour apple, light cinnamon, herbal notes, and a light yeastiness. Subdued and a bit odd. Taste is sweet--Smarties, with overripe apples and notes of cinnamon. A bit of syrupy apple juice on the finish, with a lingering sourness. Medium-bodied, with minimal carbonation. Not seeing a ton of difference between this and regular Woodchuck, other than a little more complexity and spicing. Okay.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Butters (3321) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - MAY 23, 2012
Based on the description, I expected a cloudy pour, however, this came out quite a clear very pale near water color. No real head to speak of. Didn’t look bottle conditioned. I do rather like the nose, it’s similar to a pleasantly sweet clean apple, but with a very faint odor of farmy funk and lilacs. Quite nice. Flavor is good, hints of grapefruit, but mainly just a normal cider. I really like how it doesn’ t seem backsweetened. I don’t think my palate is refined enough to quite pick up on the ’belgian yeast’ i suppose. Still, I enjoyed this more than the average cider

Draft. Golden cloudy color. Tastye is sweet but not overly. I’m not a huge cider fan but this probably one of the best sweet ones I’ve had in a while. Decent

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 dmschefke (560) - Macomb, Michigan, USA - MAY 6, 2012
Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellowish orange with medium white head, minimal lacing. Aroma obvious of apple, but undertones of vanilla, yeast, grass, cinnamon, and bubblegum. Flavor matches well and makes for a surprisingly well rounded and intense cider. Not overly sweet like most ciders and altogether one hell of a drink.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 bhensonb (8991) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 2, 2012
Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy amber with a transient bubbly/frothy white head. Aroma of cooked apples and light citrus. About med body. Flavor is very pleasant. Apple, wood, mild citrus. Finishes a bit less than dry. It’s even a little astringent. It drinks quite easily. One of the better Woodchucks IMHO.
