Picked up a single at Bert’s Better Beers. Poured into an ommegang glass.
A - Half a finger creamy head that went away instantly. Deep golden brown with some slight sediment floating around
S - apples, apples, apples, brown sugar and some bready yeast.
T - Tastes like a standard Woodchuck but with a very earthy taste to it. Tastes more natural or maybe more like beer than a woodchuck usually does. The Belgian yeast really shapes how this beer moves around your mouth and it’s delicious.
M - 80% carbonation on a mouth swish. Very dry finish, light-bodied
O - it’s very good. I’d like to have it again.

Tap at Iron Horse Taproom. Hazier, flattish pour. Nose is sweet orange and yellow pear. Taste is tangy, sour pear juice. Lots of green apple juice. Quite tart actually. Wayyy to sweet. Not bad- but super pear heavy. Sugary with sharp sour tanginess in the back end. Mildly refreshing. No cloying heaviness.

UPDATED: APR 12, 2012 Draft. Pour is bright gold with a big white head, some retention/little lace. Aroma of apple, fruity esters, corriander, citrus. Taste is typical cider: sweet, apples, yeast, possibly banana? Palate is dry, lively carbonation, more body than most ciders. Interesting.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Slipstream (1786) - USA - APR 1, 2012
Interesting concept - this appears to be a cider with Belgian wit spices added. The spices are present in the aroma, which is better than average for a cider, and it has an appealing orange pour too. It does have some flavorings added, but the results are good, with light spices in the flavor and a sour-sweet finish. The apples dont come thru that clearly, and there are some slight chemical notes, but this is a tasty cider.
