Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours golden amber with no head. Aroma is light apple pie. Med minus body. Flavor is hard to explain. It’s sweet, nutty, but not those. It’s a little brown sugar, but not much. It clearly is not pumpkin pie spice. It’s a little towards dry, a little astringent, yet it’s sweet. Even seems tart, but then it’s not. Goes down a bit of a treat.

Gold pour, white head. Simple flavors of pumpkin pie spice and apples. Pretty sweet, lightly artificial, but drinkable.

12 ounce bottle from Wegman’s Leesburg. Pours a clear copper color with a thin fizzy tan head. Pumpkin and tart apple aroma with a bit of earth. The taste is tart apples and a mild bit of pumpkin. Thin bodied.

Basically the same base as all of their ciders but this time with pumpkin and pie spice flavorings. Basically nutmeg cider. Why does everyone say pumpkin when it’s actually nutmeg? Anyway, this one pours with an orange tinge. Aroma of sweet apples and nutmeg. Flavor of sweet apples and nutmeg. Blech.

PorterPounder (5549) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 31, 2013
Tallahassee, Fl - New Leaf Market - 12 oz bottle. Pours a sparkling medium copper with not much of a head. Aroma has some light floral accents, a touch of ripening fruit. Flavor is mellow but flavorful with some light spicy accents, some light pumpkin, a touch of ripening vegetables. Mouthfeel has a nice roundness to it. Decent.

Clear copper, like whiskey, no head. Aroma is typical of sweet ciders with a cloy candy apple nose, but this time with a touch of Christmastime aroma. The flavor is earthy and pumpkinesque with candy red apple flavors and a sweet champagne yeast finish. Pretty tasty, though just a bit too sweet for its own good.

nearbeer (3729) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 5, 2014
Pint on tap. Clear orange amber with a few bubbles on top. Aroma is mostly apple bubblegum and caramel with a bit of cinnamon. Tastes of caramel apple, just a touch of cinnamon, and a hint of squash. Spices are not overdone and somehow it all blends into a mildly tart, cherry-like flavor. Light body is sweet and has medium carbonation.

Very nice and spicy. Some cinnamon features in addition to the obvious ones. I liked it much.

(bottle - 12 oz) Clear copper pour with a fizzy white head. Floral and spice in the nose with a very mild underlying hint of apple. Slightly odd flavor at the start, almost like a fermented pumpkin pie but then smooths out to a pumpkin pie, cinnamon and nutmeg middle. Smooth and sweet on the finish. Different but kind of good.
