2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
On tap @ Yard House Costa Mesa. Golden pour with a hint of peach color and a short lived layer of white foam. Kind of sugary and sweet. Blueberry syrup, apple juice, and sugar on the nose. Taste is the same: cloying, syrupy, sugary. Blueberry flavoring, apple juice, and maybe a hint of sour apple candy. Soda-like.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
bottle - This cider is very straightforward. It has a pleasant apple and blueberry smell. The flavor very sweet with apples and a healthy dose of sweet blueberry flavor. It’s fairly good though as is typical for Woodchuck it’s sweeter than I’d like.

Love the blueberry notes in this cider. I am a huge fan of the woodchuck seasonal ciders, and while this one is not favorite, it’s still delicious. I love that it doesn’t taste like an unnaturally flavored thick syrup like some flavored ciders do.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at a work event. From notes. Sweet and tart apples dominate. A decent fakeass blueberry jolly-rancher type flavor in there too. Meh, drinkable but not really my thing.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a clear yellow gold body with a small fizzy white head. The nose is pretty standard cider, with a bit more caramel than some perhaps. The flavor is just semi-sweet with a nice juicy fresh apple juice flavor. There’s a bit of baked apple on the finish, but otherwise not sure why this is deemed a ’summer cider’ versus all the others in the Woodchuck lineup. Lightly clingy with soft fizzy carbonation. Decent enough if you want a sweet cider.

A hard cider, blueberry taste, rather easy drinking, could have a few. Decent.

Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - Betton - 12 oz bottle. Sparkling light golden pour, tight white head that clings to the edge of the glass. Aroma has a refreshing hint of blueberries, light apple notes. Flavor is refreshing and brisk with a nice blueberry essence to it, some golden delicious apple notes, a touch of vanilla. Mouthfeel has a nice crispness to it. Nice summer treat.

Can and package really remind me of summer in New England. Though I’ve never been there in the summer, don’t think. Think I get screwed and have to be in Boston in February, usually. Very light, very clear, champagne/perry colored cider. Fruity, gingery aroma. Slippery mouthfeel, sweet, a little ginger or implied ginger. Medium-light body, sweet aftertaste. Publix, Bradfordville.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
This has blueberry in it yet not a hint of blue food coloring. I will give it points for that. Like most ciders that are filtered or settled, it looks like a glass of apple juice w/ some bubbles in it, in this case w/ a very faint tinge of pink to it. The smell is actually quite nice: white grape, apple and blueberry. It is not quite believable as coming entirely from fermented fruits but neither is it straight Jolly Rancher so that is... OK, I guess. The taste gets more into soda-pop territory. It is simple sweetness plus a slight tartness. It is drier than straight apple juice but not by much. It finishes w/ a linger fruitiness which combine w/ some sweetness and tartness reminds me quite unsurprisingly of Sweet Tarts. I would recommend this for anyone who wishes to catch a buzz off of something that tastes slightly more adult than soda-pop but does not want to spend time finding a good quality soda-pop and a good quality alcoholic mixer.

Bottle @ Greg’s dump, pregaming Trailhead Tuesday. Pours a light golden appearance with a white head. Medicinal, herbal, slightly minty, soda aroma. Twangy berry, artificial, syrupy flavor. Not very good.
