3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A Mes rate. Cask at Baker St Sporks. Black with a tan head. Dull fruity malt aroma with a faint hint of emulsion. Fairly standard stouty flavour with notes of liquorice and rubber. Fruity malt finish. A little dull and one dimensional but inoffensive and drinkable.

0.6 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Sampled on my Cornish adventure from 26 - 28 January 2007 whilst visiting my friend and ratebeer fellow member Ruprecht - Black Pearl, eh? I thought the late Eusebio was the Black Pearl? This is no Eusebio - Eusebio was good; this is shit. Eusebio was black; this isnít (despite the name!) I have nothing good to say about the ale - you will only like this if you are a savage, as, in my opinion, this ale tastes of raw flesh! Disgusting.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pint pulled at the Black Ox in Abergwili (Carmarthenshire, Wales), a cloudy amber with a creamy white head. A slightly caramal aroma with some bitter hoppiness in the background. An interesting sweet bitter mouthfeel with caramal, and there is licorice in the finish.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Not black at all. In fact a basic copper coloured bitter. Dull malt and sulphur in the aroma. Dry, slightly bitter, flavour, but nothing really stood out. Acceptable, but not very memorable. Cask (gravity dispense), St Albans Beer Festival.

Amber with a crimson body, bright and in good condition. Sulphurous aroma, little else. Not fully brewed, slighty green malt flavour (Duff). Decent length on the palate.
