Pours an orangey golden colour with a medium whiteish dissipating head.. Aroma is honey, berry, citrus and some hops . Slips down smoothly. Flavour is quite sweet and fruity. Like Peach snapple ! Finish has some grassy bitterness.
Something quite unusual about this which is not without appeal.
Quack-Duck (1900), Bodensee, Germany Sep 1, 2008 bottle. Deep amber-brown colour, mid-sized head. Full-bodied, pleasantly malty and fruity with a hint o caramel, aromatic bitter-hoppy finish. Pub (4104), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Aug 23, 2008 Cask conditioned at The Yard Arm, Plymouth, Devon. Amber with white head. Quite a smooth bitter but with a highly perfumed hop. Some fruitiness, apricot, good body. A decent enough best bitter. SilkTork (3909), Rochester, Kent, England Aug 3, 2008 Kent Beer Fest, The Cow Shed, Canterbury. Rancid orange and tobacco. Somewhat earthy. Fresh marmalade comes through in the finish. The earthiness is interesting, but the base beer is slightly crude with sugar showing through. OK. Papsoe (10285), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 20, 2008 (Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of oh6gdx. Clear deep golden with an off-white head. Clasic British aroma with some fruit and some vitamin C.
