JDW, Rochester. Pale amber. Musty best bitter. Drinkable, but unremarkable. Some grubby hops over a dry, indifferent malt, finishing with a lingering dusty hop bite.

A mid amber gold coloured beer with a weak white head. A strange hoppy aroma, somewhat appley, and a touch grassy, then a light malty aroma comes through. Dry and thin mouthfeel. The taste starts off ok, with a prickly hop flavour, but this soon transforms into a tart apple taste. There is a suggestion of malt towards the end, but it doesnít aid the tartness, which lingers on into the finish.

Clear medium orange yellow colour with a small, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light to moderate hoppy, grass, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120806]

50cl bottle from a Tescoís in Salisbury. Amber with a thin cream head; malty aroma with a touch of orange zest; over-pasteurised jammy malt flavour; and a dry, asstingent, finish. Rather mundane.
